Hello and welcome to our synchro page
Synchronised swimming is an interesting sport that keeps you very fit. It is like dance in the water. It develops your strength, flexibility and body awareness. And its great fun!
We are the Masters only synchro section of Brighton Dolphin Swimming Club. We compete in the UK and abroad and do a show in the Brighton Festival each year.
We are National Team champions in our age group (and have been for several years). Three of our swimmers won a gold medal at the World Masters Swimming Championship in Sweden in 2010. Our team came 5th and one of our duets came 6th. See the Photo section.
Synchro is a team sport so commitment to your fellow team members is a must. It’s a big advantage if you have a good sense of rhythm.
To be a Masters swimmer you need to be at least 20 years old. Our oldest swimmer is 56. The oldest synchro swimmer at the World Masters was 87. She was fantastic in the water!
We swim three times a week: Sundays 9-10.15am, Mondays 7-9pm and Tuesdays 8-9pm.
If you are a complete beginner you can join between September and Christmas - the earlier the better! You will attend at least one session a week and will learn enough synchro to be in the show the following May. You need to be comfortable with being in deep water.
If you are an experienced synchro swimmer interested in competing you can join at any time of the year, be in the show, compete in the Nationals and any other competition we are entering.
To start just turn up to one of our sessions with your costume and give it a go!

We look forward to swimming with you.
