Summer Holiday Swimming

Don’t forget that lessons and training carry on throughout the school summer holidays with the exception of the Thursday evening session at Surrenden (last session 14 July, returning on 8 September).

Sunday Learn to Swim – on 7 and 14 August we are very short of teaching staff, we will offer a supervised fun session on these 2 occasions, so please come along and maybe get in the pool with your child(ren) and have a splash!

Club Championship Results 2011

Attached are the winners of this years club championships. Well done to all those swimmers who entered. Trophies and medals will be awarded at the Christmas Party on 27 November.

The Club Championships are held over 3 Tuesday evenings in April, May and June. This year the 1st session was very well attended, with lots of new comers having a go and swimming incredibly well. The 2nd and 3rd sessions were poorly attended and I would like to ask parents/swimmers what it is about the club championships you don’t like, and why swimmers don’t enter or turn up. Suggestions on how we might encourage more swimmers to enter all 3 sessions would be great……………let me know what you think!!
