Adult Artistic Swimming
We currently are the largest Masters artistic swimming club in England. We have swimmers aged 18-60+ years, ranging in ability from beginners to experienced. Our swimmers take part in the different disciplines of solo, duet, team and combination routine in the annual Swim England National Masters Championships and various other national and international events. The annual Brighton Festival Fringe Show is our biggest event.
Artistic swimming is great fun, although it is one of the most difficult sports as it is a combination of gymnastics, acrobatics, dance and swimming – a lot of the time without breathing. We have great fun with the music themes and make sure that there is a space for everyone in one of the teams. Our beginners’ combination routine won Gold at the 2019 National Masters.

Not everyone can attend every session, some people can commit to twice and others to once a week. The beginners’ session is usually on Mondays 7-8. We expect regular attendance whilst acknowledging that we all have family lives.

Beginners: anyone who is able to swim for 20 minutes continuously and is confident to roll backwards in the water is welcome to come along and give artistic swimming a go. We usually start a new course for beginners in May and September. Please contact bdscartistic@gmail.com.
